Syndicate abruptly concluded their 9-odd years of duty in the second half of 2003, with the aptly titled album 'The End'. During the preceding 3 or 4 years, Warren had exclusively taken over the controlling interest in Syndicate after Gav had burnt out around the time of their FIST18 release in '98.

FISTCD03 was a retrospective / compilation of rough-as-guts Amiga breakbeat tracks, produced by both Warren and Gav at various times between 1996-2003. Two tracks had previously appeared on the 'Badman' (FIST23) 12”, and 'Affiliated With Death' had also appeared on a 12” of the same name released on UK label 'Born To Kill' (BTK05) in 2002.
