about

After dealing with the logistical nightmares that took place at the label during the year 2000 (aborted releases, demolition derbies, manufacturing problems et al.), Bloody Fist punched on into the new century with yet another Syndicate release, this time focusing purely on lo-fi sample-based breakbeat tracks. It was decided that the best of the Syndciate hardcore material had already passed, and with Gav now taking a back seat production-wise, Warren started to call the shots. Most of the tracks selected for this release were already several years old by this stage, but were still featuring fairly heavily in Syndicate live sets. Gav contributed 2 tracks to this release (A1, B2), with Warren contributing the remaining three. Upon its early 2001 release, reactions were cautiously positive and the large initial pressing sold fairly swiftly finding new audiences and new distribution channels that were not otherwise open to the hardcore/speedcore sound. The record was repressed once a few months after the initial pressing sold out. This was to be the final Syndicate vinyl release for the label, with a couple of the tracks making it onto the Syndicate CD retrospective/compilation released a couple of years later in mid-2003.

credits

released February 15, 2001

All tracks written and produced by Warren & Gavin Burke on their Amigas at various times in the late 90s. The 12" was compiled and recorded late 2000 by Mark N and the brothers Burke. Released on 12" February 2001. Breakbeats!
Note: all extraneous noise and sonic artefacts heard in the tracks are present in the original sample sources. We liked it ruff!
