about

Following on from Ryan Leeman's 1995 speedcore 12" debut came the inevitable followup barely a year later. By this time Ryan was starting to experiment with the rough chopping-up and layering of breakbeats. The intense linear speedcore of his previous release was still present albeit a little more finely tuned - but the Syndicate boys had introduced him to breakbeats and had given him a bunch of samples to mess with. Some of these early breakbeat experiments were captured on this release (for better or worse). Apparently Warren from Syndicate was sore for ages about many of his originally-sourced breakbeats and hip hop samples being appropriated and used as source material for several tracks here, but the world kept turning, the sun continued to rise every morning and life in deep suburban Newcastle went on regardless.

Written and produced by Ryan Leeman on his Amiga at various times throughout 1996 in the same North Lambton bedroom in which he had produced FIST04 whilst bunking off school in 1995. The result was crammed onto a 12" and released in September 1996.
