Hey Mark Why don't you ring Warners? Or fax Warners? Or do something about your own future? If you're pissed off with things why don't you do something about it eh? Instead of continually trying to get me to do something about it? I mean what's the matter y-y'wa-y'wanna Y-you too-y-you too scared, too lazy or too stupid to ring the council you gotta abuse the dustman? For Christ's sake deal with it yourself

about

If you spent any significant time in Newcastle, Australia during the 1990s you would have had something to do with Nesca Parade. You either lived there, bought drugs from someone who lived there, or fucked someone who lived there. Or all three. This record was conceived and gradually sewn together over a two year period atop the grim apartment block located at 33 Nesca Parade. In between all the sampling, editing, sequencing and cuts there were many late nights spent quietly staring out of the bedroom window overlooking Nesca Parade, thinking about all that living, drug dealing and fucking going on below.

credits

released May 15, 1998

All tracks built entirely out of bits of other people's records by Mark Newlands between 1996 and 1998. Recorded using a secondhand Amiga 600, 2 secondhand DJ mixers, 2 secondhand Technics 1200s, a damaged secondhand effects unit, a secondhand VHS player, a 4-track tape recorder, and about 5 crates of crusty records (mostly secondhand).

Originally released on 12" in May 1998 and subsequently re-pressed 3 times until the plates burnt out. Eventually remastered and re-released in 2003, with one subsequent repress thereafter. The most ghetto record in the BF back-catalogue and by far the biggest seller.
